1. !. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? Since conventions are things used to represent, my group used legs, feet, and clothing as conventions. These conventions were used to display versatility in race, comfortability, and style. It represents social groups by showing different skin tones, durability, and “modes” (Sports and regular) being worn. We had old and new crocs displayed in the commercial. Showing that however you choose to wear the product, they are made for any and every one; like the slogan “Crocs. Come as you are.” Meaning all are welcome regardless of who you are. 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text? The commercial is set in a relaxed setting. The music and lighting are what really define the video.
