Final Production Blog

My group is done. We can't wait for you to see our final project! We worked long and hard. Honestly, the process was stressful. Hours of editing, filming and making sure everything was decent. The entirety of this film has consisted of teamwork. I'm very glad I had my beautiful, amazing group. The process was a great strategy for not only learning new things, but also for strengthening my friendship within my group. Will I do this again? Probably not. It was fun, just kind of stressful. Depending on other people for stuff like my grade, isn't my favorite thing.  There were times when I found myself asking why I am doing this to myself. Why couldn't I stay with Jordyn? Sometimes we were't understanding each other which made us very frustrated. Overall, we made it work. This couldn't have been possible without the lovely Jordyn though. She was constantly reminding us about the dates, and always making sure we were up to date with our stuff. I'm glad for my gro

Revised Final

We finished everything! After some constructive criticism, our group made sure to tackle everything we could. We ended up having to take scenes out and moving them around so everything could flow better.     That included deleting a lot of filler scenes that weren’t all that necessary. We made sure to put in the most important parts. All in all, it looks great! We didn’t even have to reshoot! Which was great because I was going to have no more of transportation. The sound was cleaned up too. I don’t know what Damaine did, but he did good! The audio is much clearer now. When Damaine told us he “cleaned it up”, we were all very concerned. Not that we don’t trust him, it’s just strange because it looked very unsaveable per se.     Damaine said he wasn’t going to refilm on Thursday and that he’d figure it out.     He proved his statement. Next class we’re going to work on transitions and any last minute tweaks before we have to turn it in. Overall, I’m very proud of Damaine and his skill

Film Review

We finished editing! I showed my film to my managers at work. They said the film was kind of all over the place, and the sound quality wasn’t very good. Other than that they said it was pretty good. For high school students I think we did okay but could’ve done better. I may or may not have seen this coming though. With most of the scenes being outside, the wind is fairly prominent and overpowering our voices. Indoor scenes were just fine though. My group and I have to discuss refilming as soon as possible. This is due in a week! We can’t waste time, at all. Jordyn suggested microphones but I don’t think we’ll actually go through with it. We might have to change the sequence, too. Yes, it would change up the story board but that happens sometimes! It’s life! I understood what they meant when they said it made no sense. Everything was so rushed! I have yet to find out what Damaine and Pedro’s reviews were, but mine were true. We just need one more bad critic and I know that means we nee

Editing again

My group and I basically finished! The clips were a little longer than expected but we fixed it up rather quickly. We figured out how to split screen into four screens, it looks so nice!! Is the film perfect? No. Will it be perfect? Probably not, but its not terrible. There’s still hope. We can still clean it up of course until it’s up to our liking. Damaine already cut the unnecessary and lengthy scenes out but I’m afraid that’s not enough. We just overestimated everything really so therefore we filmed a little extra. I think if we cut out some of the effects we can save time. We have Thursday set out just in case we have to refilm. If I don’t have to I don’t want to but we might have to. I just want to see the final product. All of the planning and hard work all wrapped into two minutes. Although seeing the final product may seem fun, we quickly realized we couldn’t leave it like that. It kind of rushed in my opinion. We could just be overthinking it all too. I’ll show it to someone
