Crocstars

Today Jordyn and I filmed some parts of our commercial! My partner got shots of me walking around and displaying the shoes. I walked around the bus loop area for the most part but couldn't film some scenes due to other people being in the same area. I did go back and film some scenes in the area later though. The lighting was also really bad in the bus loop. My partner and I helped another group with their commercial and it was really cool. I got free sprite out of it so that was a win win in my opinion! I made sure to film in areas with good lighting and made sure to get good angles. I talked to some really interesting people throughout the process too! It was really hot today and wearing long pants did not help at all. I was sweating so much but we think it'll pay off. My partner and I did have some confusion as far as how she were going to film the commercial. I thought a slow motion shot would be cool. Until I realized it took forever and a lifetime to get to the point. I

Story Board

During this class period, my partner and I set up our storyboard for our Crocs commercial. We decided on how the commercial would be set up first and then how we would set up the storyboard that will coordinate with our commercial. In our first box, we have the actress holding a pair of crocs to show the jibbitz/gems off that decorate the crocs. In our second box, the actor is seen putting on their crocs while they are sitting on a bench located in the school. The third box shows the actor walking with the crocs on in both sports and comfortable mode. After the shoes are shown in both of the different wearable modes, the cameraman or woman will zoom into the crocs, showing the different angles of the shoes. Finally, our last box/part of our commercial will include the actors dancing as the crocs slogan comes on the scene concluding our commercial. Since my partner and I don't have a plethora of different color crocs, during the time of recording if anyone else with a pair of cro

Props Jordyn and I will be using crocs for our props. That's mainly it since we're focusing solely on the shoes.  Costumes We will be in character during this commercial. We will be wearing our basic everyday attire such as jeans, hoodies, shorts, tee shirts, sweatpants and of course, our crocs! The main focus of the entire commercial is the Crocs and the actors feet so we may wear socks so we can move freely.   Schedule 09/23/21: Partner and I researched conventions and codes on Crocs commercials, established costumes, location list, props, schedules and a backup plan.  09/29/21: We will be creating a storyboard for our 30 second clip. 10/1/21: My groupmate and I will film and record our commercial. 10/05/21: We will edit/ add the final touches to our commercial.  Location List We will mainly be in the designated sitting areas our school offers since the objective of the commercial is our feet.  Our next location would be on the stairs of building 5, also known as the media c

My partner and I are conducting a Crocs commercial. Usually in a Crocs commercials, the audience would see someone walking or dancing in a pair of freshly released crocs. They do this to show how comfortable the shoes really are.  - In Crocs commercials, the actors are seen wearing a pair of crocs and some form of clothing. Clothing items include but are not limited to hoodies, sweat pants, shorts, jackets, and so much more.  - Examples of props could include jibbits, which are charms you attach to the Crocs which are customizable to your choosing.  -  Their appearance may not be the best but once your foot slides in with easy, hassle free access you'll think otherwise. The actors/ actresses appearance gives off a comfortable feel while they are wearing their Crocs.  - The score through the commercial are super upbeat and warm and give you the feeling of comfort in the ambiance  1. Conventions and Codes in Crocs commercials contain the slogan "Crocs. Come as you are" Thi

I decided to work alongside my dear friend Jordyn. Jordyn and I have been good friends since freshman year. We met in math class and got along pretty well. Despite her being a Leo and me being a Scorpio. Apparently our signs don't get along because they both want to take charge. We have been proving them wrong since 2019! We both hate math and share the same beliefs. Even though she's in the pre law program, she wants to be a pharmacist. She's Jamaican but for some reason I used to think she was Bahamian. Our middle schools were rivals, which I find so funny. She went to Parkways and I went to William Dandy. She's athletic and super smart so I know I'll have to keep up which pushes me to work harder! Jordyn is really funny so there's never a dull moment with her. The only thing I will say is that we both kind of suck at editing and stuff but hopefully we can both learn and help each other out. We both came into media because we heard its an interesting class an

My name is Nicole Tarantino. I am 16, going on 17 on November 12th! I have a little brother and I'm in the Pre-Law and Cambridge programs at Fort Lauderdale High School. I want to be in the FBI. Working in the Criminal Justice field has been a dream of mine since I was in fifth grade. I want to be a woman in a career that mainly consists of men because I like standing out, being an example. Women are constantly seen as weak or fragile and I feel as if working in that environment I would be showing that women are much more than that. We can be emotional but we are very strong, very competent. Also, studying human behaviors and how the mind works has always been so intriguing. I love getting into peoples heads and seeing how they react to certain things. Why people do things has always been something I ask myself. Especially when it comes to criminals. My Cambridge diploma is something I've been working towards and something I completely overestimated. I have a problem with over
