Editing day!

Yesterday, my partner and I edited our video. We used a new platform called "CapCut". It was so much easier to use than "iMovie".  Initially, we had tried to edit through "iMovie" but we were having issues with the audio. We ended up switching to "CapCut" which had been recommended to us by a fellow classmate. For some reason, the audio wouldn't trim to fit the video. we had originally thought it was happening because we were trying to overlay the sound instead of purchasing it. we purchased the sing and we were still having issues so we switched platforms. I definitely see my group using "CapCut for the next project! Editing took about the entire class period. All that matters is that we finished. My partner did the transitions and did the timing of the video. at some point we wanted to give up. we were so stressed because of the alignment of the videos, after we took a deep long breath, we came back to our senses and wrapped it up. Since we had a basic understanding of what to do from our last time filming, it was much easier this time. This video was a bit difficult to edit especially since we had so many takes. When we first started editing we ended up missing a very important part of the video. dont worry, we fixed it as soon as we noticed. The end product was a lot better than our stressed selves imagined. Next time, I know editing will be much easier.

Story Board

   During this class period, my partner and I set up our storyboard for our Crocs commercial. We decided on how the commercial would be set up first and then how we would set up the storyboard that will coordinate with our commercial. In our first box, we have the actress holding a pair of crocs to show the jibbitz/gems off that decorate the crocs. In our second box, the actor is seen putting on their crocs while they are sitting on a bench located in the school. The third box shows the actor walking with the crocs on in both sports and comfortable mode. After the shoes are shown in both of the different wearable modes, the cameraman or woman will zoom into the crocs, showing the different angles of the shoes. Finally, our last box/part of our commercial will include the actors dancing as the crocs slogan comes on the scene concluding our commercial. Genre Research: Big Catch

  When looking for comedy short films on the websites given, we were unable to find any pertaining to comedy My team and I decided that it would be best to just look for one on Youtube rather than struggling to find one on the websites. Before going to Youtube we checked the regular internet where we mainly found films in our genre but they were full length. The first film we found on Youtube was "Big Catch." This interested us first because of the thumbnail. The thumbnail for this short was a picture of a man sitting with headphones and a shark behind him smiling. Seeing this, we automatically assumed that the shark would be trying to eat this man, but we did not know how it planned on going about it. In this film, there is no dialogue but there is diegetic sound where we can hear the birds making noise, the squeaking of the the shark on the deck, and the shark screaming as he realizes he is about to be thrown back into the ocean.
